A Full Spectrum of Shopping and Services
Market Park San Jose’s North Village is quickly rising around the nearly 11-acre Market Place shopping center. This pedestrian-oriented and bicycle-friendly center will be anchored by a major supermarket chain and pharmacy — along with other retailers, restaurants and a gas station.
Retail, restaurants and personal-service businesses are also envisioned at street level in the modern, midrise apartment villages that are part of the housing mix in the North Village. And retail will be a key component of the busy transit center, which links the community directly to the only BART station serving the city of San Jose.
The transit area will serve as a vibrant town center, with retail stores in ground-floor spaces surrounding walkable plazas, and office space in the towers above. The overall result will be a highly livable, active, urban experience unlike any traditional suburban lifestyle.
